Project Refresh

PROJECT REFRESH ABOUT INITIATIVE As part of ongoing efforts to support the community, Project Refresh is dedicated to enhancing the living conditions and comfort of residents in Radin Mas. In collaboration with Radin Mas CC, Quan Mei Design & Construction, and volunteers, this initiative was launched to improve homes and create a better environment for the community. THE PROCESS The process of enhancing the homes and living spaces began with a thorough cleaning of the units, ensuring that all areas were fresh and ready for improvements. Next, the walls were painted to give the homes a clean and refreshed look. Afterward, volunteers assembled upcycled furniture, including tables, chairs, and closets, to provide practical and stylish solutions for the residents. To further improve comfort and functionality, essential items such as bedframes, washing machines, and shower heads were also provided, transforming the living spaces into more comfortable and welcoming environments. Project Sweet Dreams

PROJECT SWET DREAMS ABOUT INITIATIVE In light of the New Year and the upcoming Lunar New Year celebrations, Quan Mei Design & Construction partnered with Radin Mas CC and volunteers to help distribute essential bedding items—including pillows, mattresses, and bedsheets—along with additional necessities like bedframes, refrigerators, and televisions to residents of rental flats in the Redhill-Radin Mas contingency. This initiative aimed to provide residents with a more comfortable living environment and ensure they could enjoy a restful night’s sleep with the support received. THE PROCESS In preparation for the initiative, the Quan Mei team was tasked with packaging the bedsheets, pillowcases, and pillows for distribution in the Redhill – Radin Mas area. The team began by separating the prepared items according to the total number required by each block in the area and eventually packed them to be ready for the two-day distribution. On distribution day, the Quan Mei Design & Construction team, along with volunteers from Radin Mas CC and other organizations, assembled at their designated reporting locations to kick off the initiative. The day began with unloading the prepared items, ensuring everything was ready for smooth distribution. Before heading out, the volunteers attended a briefing that covered the distribution process, important guidelines, and best practices to ensure the items were delivered efficiently and respectfully to the residents. Following the briefing, the team was divided into smaller groups, each assigned to specific blocks within the Redhill-Radin Mas area. Equipped with their designated items, the volunteers went door to door, personally delivering bedding essentials and household necessities to residents in need. The collective effort aimed to bring comfort and joy to the community while fostering a spirit of giving and togetherness. COVID-19 Mask Donation

COVID-19 MASK DONATION ABOUT INITIATIVE During the COVID-19 circuit breaker, Quan Mei felt a strong desire to support the community during these challenging times. In response, we took proactive steps by launching an anti-COVID initiative to make a meaningful impact. As part of our ongoing effort to help those in need, we manage to donate bed frames and mattresses to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple for the rough sleepers, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. Additionally, in collaboration with dedicated volunteers, we contributed disposable face masks to the METTA Day Activity Centre for the Intellectually Disabled. This initiative aimed to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and protect vulnerable individuals. Through these efforts, we hope to create a safer environment for those in need. We believe that, together, we can overcome this COVID-19 crisis and emerge stronger. ABOUT METTA WELFARE ASSOCIATION Metta Welfare Association is a dedicated non-profit charity organization founded in 1992 that supports disadvantaged communities. The organization offers a wide range of support services, including healthcare services such as hospice care and rehabilitation, special education for children with intellectual disabilities and autism, elderly daycare programs, and youth development initiatives. Metta empowers individuals by offering skills training and knowledge development to enhance their independence, both physically and financially. Guided by compassion, Metta also relies on donations and volunteers to positively impact those in need.  Stay updated on our community initiatives and completed projects by following us on social media.
